2. What does a freelance interpreter do?

As a freelance interpreter, you’ll be interpreting between two parties speaking different languages. For example, in a school meeting, it can be an English-speaking teacher and a Spanish-speaking parent, in a medical appointment, it’s likely to be an English-speaking doctor and a Spanish-speaking patient.


3. Where do the jobs take place?

Our jobs are widely spread across the Chicago metropolitan area. You’ll typically be assigned to a job closer to your home.


4. How about travel and other expenses?

Ideally, you’ll need a car to get to the job. Our clients will typically cover your parking or public transportation fare. We offer mileage for jobs that require driving more than 35 miles each way.


5. How many hours of work will I receive?

You can receive up to 7 hours of work each day. Most jobs take place between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
